Relax. We’ve Got You.
If you feel anxious about visiting the dentist, you’re definitely not alone—dental anxiety is a common experience shared by many people of all ages. At Elite Dental Specialists, we understand how intimidating a dental visit can feel, which is why we make your comfort and peace of mind our top priorities. We believe that a positive dental experience begins with helping you feel calm, safe, and supported from the moment you walk through our doors. To ensure your visit is as stress-free as possible, we offer safe and effective sedation dentistry options tailored to your needs. These include Nitrous Oxide (commonly known as laughing gas), which helps take the edge off without putting you to sleep, and Oral Sedation, which offers a deeper sense of relaxation while still allowing you to remain conscious. Our experienced team will guide you through your options and ensure you’re comfortable every step of the way, so you can receive the care you need without fear or worry.

Nitrous Oxide (“Laughing Gas”)
Nitrous oxide is a mild sedative inhaled through a small mask placed over your nose. It induces a sense of calm and relaxation while keeping you fully awake and able to respond during treatment. Best of all, it wears off quickly after your visit—so you can return to your day without any lingering drowsiness.
Benefits of Nitrous Oxide:
- Fast-acting and completely reversible
- No needles required
- Safe for both adults and children
- You remain awake and alert during treatment
Ideal for mild to moderate anxiety

Oral Sedation
For patients with moderate to severe dental anxiety, oral sedationis a trusted solution. Dr. Obeidi may prescribe medications such as Ativan, Halcion, Valium, Phenergan, or Vistaril, taken before your appointment. These medications help calm nerves, reduce anxiety, and make your dental experience more comfortable. You will remain awake but feel deeply relaxed throughout your visit.
Important Notes for Oral Sedation:
- You must have a responsible adultdrive you to and from your appointment.
- Do not operate machinery or drivefor the remainder of the day.
Some medications may take effect quickly, so plan accordingly.
